Salary Expectations
I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

It had a friendly learning environment. Most of the peps I worked with were great as well.

Dislikes

Even though the people working there were great, the management did not handle the covid situation gracefully. Lost the job, and didn't see much empathy from any of the founders, that I thought then, had a solid foundation. The company felt deeply unreliable. Many people that made the culture great lost their jobs as well. So not sure if the place has the same vibes it had back then.
