Hey all, Got an interview offer from Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) as an Executive Engineer (Electrical) in Angul, Odisha. I have 3 years of experience, but took a career break due to stress at my last job. Failed CAT twice, wasting around 1 lakh in the process. Now need to restart my career... But I've some questions. Is JSPL a good place to work? What's the work culture like? Any red flags I should know about?

Un- ethical , un-professional working culture , no increments since last 4 yrs , deductions of salary by 10% happens for 12 months. Bonus which was part of CTC was not paid fully over the years and part of CTC amount was converted in Forced ESOP vid lien on it . Not recorded for truely professionals to join.

Be sure to clear out the variable part before joining. Lala companies like to steal a huge part of variable from the employees. Worst working culture and top management treat employees as their personal dogs. Dont respect the time of the employees. Moreover its a switch over organisation for max 2-3 years not more.

Township is near to plant location

Dislikes

Dust in township and plant both. TVP ,huge unwanted salary deduction. Micro management by owner directly. Huge fines.High working hours is culture.Abusive language is policy.Forced to work on weekly off day sometimes..
