We were about 10-12 new interns recruited and work was to be received by anyone who wanted to assist. Work was explained well by some associates. There could be long working hours if a project demanded

Dislikes

It would be better if they had few associates concerned to train associates or solve their doubts regarding work assigned. Superficially the work was explained but no heads up would be given on the case for example if an intern just joined the team and the case is in week 4, work would be assigned and no explanation as to where it stands or what is it about is provided with, only work is given and expected to be delivered

Be very careful in choosing the partner. The partners tend to be extremely abusive and you may become mentally imbalanced. When you raise mental issues, questions will be raised on your capabilities to handle work and pressure. So please don't complain just leave. Firm has a history of retaining extremely abusive partners with loads and loads of existing complaints. Yet there's no action.

Best thing about J. Sagar Associates is that it is not owner driven and anyone can become equity partner in the firm. Very good scope for overall growth. Every advocate, even a fresher, get bill sharing i.e. a certain percentage of bill amount is given to the advocate who has worked on that assignment.

Dislikes

Since the Firm is not owner driven, the decisions are taken by various equity partners by voting. Though it is very good, still sometimes in case of emergency, a need for more flexibility in rules is felt.
