They sent out an email stating trek leader's leave is a liability for them and they will not cover it from November 2019 5) They deducted 16,000 Rs from Trek Leaders for walkie-talkies and some other gear. This is gear which is essential for running an IH Trek. It is basically the equivalent of an IT company keeping a deposit for the computer, that they will provide you to work for them. In the pandemic of COVID-19, they simply asked every Trek leader to leave and find new jobs. The CEO just put a message on whatsapp group saying best of luck for the future, thanks and shut down the group. To summarize, IH is absolutely unstable, especially when it comes to the welfare of the trek leaders. They don't always function in an ethical/professional manner and since a lot of trek leaders are freshers, they put up with it.
