Retail branch banking Work pressure, multi-tasking apart from ur job profile. No value addition. Very slow career growth and monotonous job, job rotation periodicity is very large. You will get leaves after too much hardship until it is for some emergency. Review meetings are organised after working hours and frequent commitments and u have to bring figures on every login day. Seniors cannot keep away from using unofficial language if u don't perform in business and Continuous follow up will just keep u on pressure. No mental peace and satisfaction at all in branch banking in metros. If u don't perform, either u r thrown out to rural branches or compelled to resign. If u r excellent in selling insurance policy, then this is the best place to work. Promotions in higher grades are preferably available to staff posted in regional and zonal offices and hardly any branch banking staff is chosen.

...t. Even the office assistant also can refer employee, this is the truth of IDBI. Vp, AVP 's son / daughters are joining with big salary without experience even sometime without completing their degree course. Being in head office Mumbai branch I found those things with proves. This is the fact. So...all average.

Dislikes

Job security is there. But apprisal always depend on how much suger you can mix with you all words on your boss. Oil also work. Growth means promotion after achieving target also depends on boss's mercy.

Salary, however little, gets credited on time. There is literally nothing to write.

Dislikes

Work culture. Needs to work on weekends Extended work hours . No increment. No appreciation for work. Super difficult to get leaves. No flexibility in work hours or days.

Promotion process is not transparent. Also admin transfers are very harsh for women employees. They do not consider whether an employee is having small kid or pregnant. Very long working hours . Sitting in branches till 8 pm is usual .

You need to beg to avail your casual leave for one day. Frequent change of transfer policy. And very low probability of promotion. Transfer across the country against the request of the employee putting the personal life of employee and their family members in deep trouble. Irrational targets and pressure for third party products leaving no time to work for the core banking business. You have to forget life and do only work.
