Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

They had several large projects.

Dislikes

The attitude of the HR is the worst. They are often unreachable. It is clear that they don't care about the employees. They are too selfish. The company was also family-owned, so some biased behavior was expected. Non-family members were supposed to work brutal, stressful, and exhausting hours, and their biased behavior was troublesome. The management never sees the faults of the HR!
