...even feel qualified to teach or do duty with. Overall job satisfacton was so so. The benefits and salary package was very good for an expat. For a family, or family with little ones- go someplace else. They will separate the kids from the family and force the kids to live in a large, crowded hostel. Not worth the package, great for freshers and single people. Worked here in junior campus for four years.

Long hours, sometimes into the night. Non teaching related duties where ever shortage was there. Six days a week, sometimes 8-10 hours a day. Not young or family friendly at all. For singles, and Christians, and freshers, an awesome opportunity. If you are from Kerala, or Tamil Nadu. most likely you will get a job. Isn't that called region discrimination?

Housing is provided but you have to bring a heater, induction cookware (no gas), etc.

Dislikes

Food is very unhealthy and almost always deep fried. There is nothing in the area for around 15 km. No shops, no medical aid, etc. You will spend 6 days working from 7 am to 9 pm in the nights as you will only be compensated for extra work with meals. Everyday there are evening sessions/tuition, drama classes, etc. and you must drop kids to the dorm as a teacher. So you get home by 10 pm. The contract says 40 hrs per week but you will be there almost 60 hrs. The hiring process is very communal and most highly qualified individuals are tortured into leaving in a week or two. When they received the first IBEN the school has had, they did not want to have workshops nor promote qualified people as they have their own hierarchy. Most teachers who have been there for centuries have outdated profiles in the job market and they are trying to hire new teachers from Mumbai by trying to negotiate as they give housing. However, things are not going well for the school because they need to be honest with themselves first. The head mistress does inappropriate things such as touch your attire and hair to control you. Nepotism is rampant and senior leaders do not have much knowledge about education. You will find out during the interview. All the best.
