No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

First 6 months of the job will be the part where you can learn the most. After that its just officie politics.

Dislikes

Everything. The work timing are flexible but the people are the worst to work with as there is no coordination between employees and every little matter requires the CEO's approval.

There is nothing to like since Gopakumar Nair assaulted me.

Dislikes

I had the most bizarre hiring experience with them ever. Gopakumar Nair assaulted me in his office in Kandivali. I had written them an email seeking better remuneration than they had offered me, which was less than my current CTC. Apparently his ego got hurt, and therefore instead of informing me or rescinding the offer, when I reached office on the day of my joining, they told me that they assumed I accepted another offer and that they had hired another candidate instead. When I told them that this wasn't fair, Gopakumar Nair assaulted me.
