Some teams have good work life balance. Some teams have good technical knowledge and learning. Compensation is not bad for tire 2 company. The fact that they paid well during the pandemic and only removed employees from software / finance background is appreciable. Even those who were removed were given opportunity elsewhere ( although it was a sudden you'll not work here from next month announcement).

...stry standard, but it's mostly true in comparison to software service companies. Policies, Pay, Benefits are no where close to semiconductor/ electronics product companies. Everything depends on manager, some teams finish work at 5PM max, some have meetings midnight, but pay is the same. Some of them get promoted in 1.5 years, some not even after 4-5 years. Can't say politics, its lack of policies. There is no transperency whatsoever. The site GM left (he wasn't from a technical background) , and not a single word was spoken about it, let alone communication. The same trend follows in almost all things. People are put in a situation where they can't voice out. They have a anynomous survey, which is anynomous to the manager, but is not anynomous to the 2nd line / manager's manager. Most things work this way. Shiny on the outside, no so much on the inside. Management wants to show that everything is well, can't complain they are trying, even so much so that they ask senior employees to say that the work is good if someone asks, and not talk bad about the company. Only join if you are from a fabrication background and don't find jobs in any design companies. If you are from a design background, or a fresher, even service companies give better opportunity in terms of shifting jobs. I have seen people from service companies getting more than Globalfoundries in a 5 year time frame. With a fab experience, there is simply not enough companies in India which do the same work, so it's a risk, especially with the kind of pay you get here, kind of a trap, if no other companies have similar roles, which is the case for most of the jobs in globalfoundries. If it's non semiconductor related jobs, please use this job only as a backup. They have fired teams in the past. It's not all bad, but definitely not a dream company to work for. At least the Bangalore location.

Great Company to work with, good work life balance and sportive environment. Can explore and connect with any team and any managers, no managers shows attitude towards other team employees, nice knowledge sharing will be there.

Dislikes

Advice to Management please improve Salary structures, some policies to be updated and CTC is not upto the mark. They will say its same as market standards but it doesn't. Need to improve Salary percentages and hikes.

Company is good to get exposure in semiconductor industry

Paid family Insurance, transport facility not available, free food is not available like other big companies.If you're technical person then after working remotely you may need onsite experience, that's where your role become very specific.

Not at all good..If you want stable job then this company is not meant for you. They will force you to resign anytime whenever they want and put all blames on you.

Management is very bad. Emotionless, Rude, and always playing mind games.

1. Work-life balance is somewhat better 2. Flexible timings if the deadlines is not there

1. Improper management skills by the manager. 2. The manager does not provide proper work. The manager is not able to review the tasks on time. 3. Tasks are provided near the deadlines and spend nights to complete those tasks. 4. No learning and lack of knowledge in the team. 5. Micromanagement by the manager based on language.
