Hi All, During a job opportunity, when the recruiter asked for my expected CTC, I mentioned 12 LPA, as my previous job's fixed salary was 7.8 LPA. Now, I’ve been shortlisted for the Product Designer role and have learned from some sources that their maximum budget is 14 LPA. How should I approach the negotiation? Would it be reasonable to ask for 14 LPA, considering I initially stated my expectation as 12 LPA? The job is based in Gurgaon, and I have 4.5 years of experience. Looking forward to your advice!

Honestly, after 33 years in the USAF Military, FMI hands down is the best ever employer I had since. Started in 2013 to present day. I have commuted from Tucson to Morenci since. Coupled with having access to company temp housing (Jan 2013 to Apr 2013 Man-camp), and since company housing, the ability to alternate working from home/work, access to WebEx meetings FMI has done as much possible to keep me and others employed.

What, is concerning is the claim of "Fit for Duty". How is it that we proclaim to be a company that aspires to have employees fit, when you can see so many OVER WEIGHT individuals? It's concerning...! Other concern, why doesn't FMI have a "Work Improvement Plan" to correct poor performance? That was a great tool for me as a supervisor. I used it to correct work behavior, leave abuse, etc.

Dislikes

Zero training for maintenance employees, no access to Internet based diagnostic & repair programs caterpillar freely provides, but written up or fired if they make a repair or diagnostic mistake. Horrible HR department, everyone in constant fear for their job from supervision down.
