I receive a better salary here than at my previous organization, exceeding my expectations. The company has a good policy, although they often depend upon the manager's approach. My manager tends to be involved in micro-management most of the time. There is an open form where an employee can voice their doubts and issues directly to management, and they will attempt to provide solutions if possible.

Dislikes

Some teams, like tools teams, don't adapt technology. The manager enjoys their comfort zone, and any disturbance will hurt their ego. HR will never respond to your email or on teams. Once you enter into the organisation, it is very difficult to get a reply from them. If you go directly to their desk, they will call you tomorrow, which never comes. You will feel like you are going to some government office. Many leads and managers are in the company not because they are talented but because they have somehow spent the time, and now they become managers and lead. Due to this, they are very less aware of the latest technologies and project management part. Project management-wise, they have the worst leads and managers. Especially teams involved in making WinForms applications. Getting a promotion also depends upon the managers and team. As I have seen in other teams (not the tools team), people get promoted who joined with me. Hectic work environment. People wait for their 8:30 hours to complete. If you leave early, even by 1 minute, it will be marked as Less Working Hour (LWH) on the attendance page. If you 3 LWH in a week, then your EL will be deducted by 0.5.

1.) Appraisals are poor 2.) Up skilling opportunities not present apart from initial job aided training 3.) Internal job transfers non- existent 4.) New policies aimed at curbing yearly incentives 5.) Most initiatives are worthless and seem to keep middle management busy. Management really needs to evaluate this situation.

Likes

Good company for people having instrumentation background. People with software development skills won't get much learning experience. Policies are not IT industry friendly. Management try to make sometimes feel that they are supreme and tries to make you feel that they are boss. Job security wise a good company. If you want to take your expertise to next level and learn new things in software development then this is not a place for you.
