Line manager is everything, he decides your rating, increment, bonus. HR is just a yes man to whatever reporting manager says. Lot of good policies on paper but at ground level not much. HR is absolutely not reachable

Appraisal and Salary is less as compared to other banks. Dbs is Singapore bank, so every decision made in Singapore. DTI is worked like service base company who follows the order from Singapore management.

No work life balance.. never join dbs if you are QA. There is a provision of one QA among 5-6 developer. Everything comes as high priority and have a long QA process which is tiring to follow to get sign off on single user story

Horrible work culture. Bad work environment. Pressure tactics that are unfair. No management vision or larger direction from top management. No growth and professional development roadmap for employees. Avoid working here. Waste of time and energy

The compensation and the additional benefits including the health insurance and iflex are very good when relatively compared to other similar orgs in the market.

Dislikes

The management doesn't have any vision on the future of the employees. There very few leaders in the organisation who really drive their teams towards bigger goals and ambitions. Most of the management are just order takers from their bosses and expect the same from their reportees aswell. All crucial decisions are driven from Singapore and the offshore management doesn't have much say in those aspects. Singapore management treats the offshore just as another vendor team but never treats as one team. This is a big drawback in terms of career growth of the individuals
