No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Everything, no management, nobody can reply about your salaries, no work culture, nothing, worst...... I was fool, I gave a pricious 7 years of my life because it was my first job and I didn't know about any management or anything. Currently, the company G.M. is theft and he is very eresponsible but owner is very kind and soft. I can tell about he is bechara because he is not Indian. And the thief(G.M.) destroyed their company very easily. Because there is no any representative here to look anything. I can write much many more but......... Owner of this company is very kind and supportive. Thanks

Company is good but the management was not supportive discussing behavior .. I take few days leave due to health issue after 4 year they terminate me instantly without reason ...if they terminate 4 year employee so what about the other so stay away
