No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

1) Sr Management has volatile decision making, which decide every upcoming weeks target based on their judgement and mood. 2)Everything depends on the mood of your reporting manager. He Will keep assigning different tasks on daily basis. If he is having a bad day he will ensure that his team-mates too have a bad day. 3) Expect to work during weekend or from home and complete the clients request or resolve the queries without any extra benefit. 4) The management will assign you with stupid task like filling out multiple excel sheets/report which eventually take a lot of time which makes no sense at all. After doing this whole day long still your manager will literally scold you for not resolving all the queries if you happen to miss out on even 1 of the query. 5) The entire process is miss managed. The management does not even care about what is important and keeps pressurizing the employees for the end result. 6) The company just considers the employees as "RESOURCE" which can be switched out anytime they feel. 7) The management will never show faith on you or trust you, and ultimately you end up loosing your own self confidence. 8) And lastly something related to the internal process which is so much messed up, here the basic job role is to face the clients with all sort of issues/queries which are pending since a long time till date. The internal team does not even have some courtesy to reply/update on the statuses of the ongoing/pending queries. So this all makes it even difficult to handle the basic responsibilities when you give above 100% of your efforts. Advice for Management :- 1) Try to create an employee friendly environment where employees that you hire from Multinational companies which feel like working. 2) Please stop fooling people and try to respect the employees who are contributing to their end of their abilities to complete certain task. 3) Appreciate the employees rather then playing blame games would be something better.

...ork mode.Your product serves an i dusty which runs 24 hours all round the globe.I saw reviews by previous emoyees complaining about the shift and attending few urgent calls during week offs which is not justified because you have to be flexible as per the company's requirements being loyal to the high salary they offer.I worked as customer care team leader and had no issues other than few old employees in my team who joined initially and were non trainable. Management is run by two young entrepreneurs who are self motivated and are trying their best to grow.They are learning and bringing changes as and when required for the betterment of the company. Join the company if you are hard working,honest,if you can take criticism positively as it's common in every company. Negative people have cursed the company but I really did not find d anything wrong other than owners emotional attachment towards few old employees which is impacting companies standard of service provided.Wont blame the owners emotional attachment.The old employees who are incapable should realize and learn rather than taking things for granted and being casual about improving their skills.HR Jayant is the best support which adds to a better work atmosphere. Overall if you are an open minded individual then join the firm coz the pay well and on time.Dont mix other emotions with work.Ego or attitude will not help you stick around as nobody likes such people. Be simple and just be focused on your work and keep taking updates as you are hired for the same.Do not hesitate to join seeing all the bad reviews as they are from frustrated individuals so obviously they will give a bad reviews.My question is how can we take work related issues so personally that you write bad reviews to impact the reputation of a company who hired you and paid you on time.Whatever others have written is all personal and has to do nothing with salary or growth if you notice.End of the day what matters is salary, growth and exposure which seems to be nobody's issue.They have all spoken about their clashes with individuals which work related.This should be taken positively. You can't take the pressure or can't adapt or learn so you quit not due to the management. The reason I quit was only because the team I had was non trainable and company wanted to keep them as they were old.I had to go through a lot of politics played by the old employees which could have taken care but I had and have plenty of opportunities where life was better so moved off.Otherwise good company to work with.

Fraud management, managers are buzy in having parties with co-founder and save our own positions, Few managers are not even delivering but still they are on high salaries. Worst workplace, fraud company, sales guys can't service more than 6months, no work life, pressure ...
