...of mining discipline is more at higher level in comparison to other disciplines.It is a psu,so the salary and other allowances are as govt gudilines.CIL board management has power to provide other benefits like other Maharana psu in terms of perks,medical benefit and allowences.Work culture is good but varry place to place.Local postics is also involved.Coal industry is spread over six to seven states and mining operations are being done in remote locations,but there is independent own colony of col every where with full infrastructure.Now,days the working environment is good,there is a job security & opportunity for career growth.

Only thing is that mining operations are located in remote area,and interference of politicians at local levels.Not getting due support from local civil administration at some places.

Salary and job security is up to the satisfaction and a good chance of growth.

Being a coal mining company we have to work in remote areas.A very good company for mining engineers.But not a good working environment for other departments.

Being a PSU job security is the only good aspect of working in CIL.

Almost everything that comes to your mind. The non executive's gross salary is more than that of Executives. Work culture is worst due to the generation gap in the heirarchy. You will always be overloaded with work if you are from a certain department. So there's no work life balance. Seniors are toxic.

Job security and pay are a plus. Not difficult to maintain healthy work-life balance

Dislikes

Work culture has not evolved to modern standards. Accountability is poor resulting in a few employees being overloaded and others going along without much work but drawing the same pay! No incentive for more work. Promotions are time bound and based on seniority only till General Manager level
