1. Team leads are cooperative and helps you get some head start by helping with problem statement understanding, required domain knowledge and data gathering/ curations. 2. You will have ample opportunity to try to develop the solutions and present them for considerations. 3. Work-life balance for non-managerial positions are quite good, but can not say the same for team leads and managers. Recently, they have made changes to make that positive as well.

1. Skill development is a problem with no fixed learning path defined by the company. Its more like - you learn, you deliver. 2. Promotions and appraisals have taken a hit, just like in many US-funded startups. But, there is no internal framework for promotions and appraisals. The review process is a formality only. 3. The company had lost talents in order to divert capital from R&D to support other activities. 4. PMOs were brought in to streamline the company overhaul, but this achieved the opposite effect.

Environment - Being part of a fast-growing startup (Claim Genius) from very early stage and witnessing a lot of changes to make a better workplace to work in is a good experience to always have. Nothing is perfect in itself and every individual's contribution makes the place a better workplace which I always believe and would encourage myself to be associated with in my career. Very friendly culture, with great colleagues to have fun around along with a lot of experiences which we can learn from. Opportunities - A workplace to look for opportunities, especially for the techies who wish to grow their learning curve. People choose to be part of startups to work in a challenging environment and that's why I have been associated with it. When you get that challenging and encouraging environment, you tend to work extra and learn extra. Getting to work on something from scratch sounds mesmerizing... But at the same time, the opportunities always come with challenges... Tech Stack and New Challenges that you get to work on - Based on my experience, The tech stack getting used here is the eye-catcher for all the techies. It's a technology-driven organization and that's the reason people get attracted to the product. Flexibility and work-life balance- Though at an early stage the flexibility was a challenge to have because of inter-team dependencies to get things completed on time, now it's better and it will again change with time. Work-life balance still needs to be focused on and which will improve with time, because having a team of 10 working on something and a team of 100 working on the same thing will definitely create a difference. Things need to be more organized and timelier managed, which will give a great boost to being the best workplace to work with. Startups need that dedication and motivation to go beyond their own limits which demands energy and patience. I like to work on something which makes a difference and here I got that opportunity.

Claim Genius is a start-up and like every start-up which I know of or have friends working in one, have mentioned that the learning curve is amazing and it's the same here as well. The most important inclination towards your learning curve is the availability of the C team to help you learn or direct you in the right decisions and at the same time the flexibility to have and create your own experiments. With every start-up, there is a very important aspect which is you as an individual need to account for - TIME and ENERGY. If you think that you would come to a start-up and have a honeymoon period and only focus on the tasks assigned to you based on your time/need/skill set, well then you need to change your mindset. A simple way to put this into perspective is that you yourself have to be your peon and to being your own CEO. the spectrum is all yours and you have to do things to know about them. This is what I have experienced in Claim Genius and it has just broadened my skillsets/leadership qualities/Learning curve.

There is nothing as such to be mentioned. Just to be on the constructive critic point of view, they have a very broad workgroup and time management is something they can look into.

They have just created an illusion of working on AI but the core works involve only manual checks. Horrible Work culture. Too much manual tasks and eye to eye check. Nothing new to learn. HR team needs to be professional while hiring as well as while reliving the employee after he/she resigns. Please do not join if you are serious about your career and have family responsibilities.
