I like the Campus and work culture at Cisco.

Until you resign, managers will not recognize your worth. Pay is less when compared with competitors. Promotions happen rarely. Managers will not allow you to take leaves.

Very Poor Work life balance(Hyderabad Office) Management is bad Appraisal are Ok-ies not great not bad Layoff's are happening quiet frequently now days Promotion are very tough here

Good benefits and salary levels. Flexible working with hybrid culture. Innovation is encouraged.

Dislikes

Extremely manager driven culture. You have a Godmother or Godfather, your career is made. However, if you don't, then it is all based on the rapport you strike with your stakeholders. No clarity of career paths and goals for most roles. Growth is limited. No clear defined processes on performance and appraisals. Most important at this stage, job security is a question mark. Leadership changes with too much ambiguity on future path.

...get calls to work during late nights and weekends to test and provide updates. He and other seniors play a lot of politics and always make us pay heavy price. Very unemotional peoples. There is no support no help nor any guidance here and still so much criticism. We gave bad feedback in company survey to hope things will get improve but he started shouting in open calls and force us to rewrite a positive feedback. Guys this place is actually hell so dont join here. My personal life with family, friends and girlfriend is a complete mess because of this team and the work culture by sr management. Do not want any human beings to go through the sufferings like I am. I also posted also in glassdoor 2 times but they remove my post. Hope not remove here.
