No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

CIBT always say we are not Lala ki company, but the truth is it's worse than Lala ki company. Another level of politics in the company, no basic amenities, no job security, hiring and firing is quite common. Don't fall for their words and fake commitment.

The higher management itself is not stable people come and go frequently and then they poke the tenured employees with new ideas and illogical practices .. the top management is biased and there is high level politics and toxicity within a group who is also influential. The HR function is a joke at CIBT - HR is more like “ let me save myself first and rest is all secondary “
