No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Had to think about this one alot, no perks except free skunky coffee. The work is a drudgery and nothing much to learn since it's all donkey work.

Dislikes

Almost got divorced due to long working hours. They won't let you go without working for 12-13 hrs each day. Owner of the company is a badmouthed person. No personal grudges but the work environment is not at all professional and in any way employee centric.

It's a good place for people to build skills and learn

Dislikes

The work environment is terrible with it almost making it feel like people are being exploited. The salary is terrible compared to industry standards with no basis for increments in place.
