Good pay, remote culture, few opportunities on learning and yet creates a feeling about startup environment. Great supportive from management

Sometimes work becomes hectic. Tech alignments always changes and their priorities which diverts the track for your planned learning around the stack and product features.

Likes

Engineers are highly talented. Carousell is a sweet spot between flexibility of a startup and standard ( rigorous) process of an established organisation. Work life balance is very good. No micro management, supporting managers and all. Plus , work from home.

Dislikes

Management is not as par, doing lots and lots of stuff on the name of profitability, but achieving next to nothing. The only way they were able to show some profits were by doing couple of rounds of layoffs. I heard that severance for layoff was very generous and fair though.
