Salary and benefits are great, but declining day by day

Every except salary. Here, managers will traumatize you, speak very bad words and don't expect respect if you are placed here. I wish I had gone to the other company that I got chance in! Please don't join here, please if you have little bit of respect for yourself!

A being an upstream oil and gas company, its providing excellent compensation and perks.

Good things: Provides travel allowance, growth opportunities are there for young enthusiastic, good salary. Bad things: Work environment, work life balance, job security

Cairn used to offer excellent opportunities career opportunities to professionals who are talented, capable and willing to step up. Cairn employees were sufficiently compensated as well. But nowadays influx of 'professionals' from mining background from Vedanta group companies, who do not understand oil & gas business, has slowly but steadily degraded professional work culture within Cairn

Dislikes

1) People who are not privy to Oil &Gas business managing the company now 2) Experienced loyal and permanent employees are laid off, purely based on the CTC, within a few minutes disregarding their contributions to the organization 3) Engages professionals at Barmer and other remote locations though they can contribute better sitting in their corporate offices

My experience of working Cairn Oil & Gas has been good & rewarding. My seniors & co - workers helped me a lot to grow & learn each day. I joined as a fresher, so it was wonderful to have supportive team. I got many opportunities to gain experience & learn.

Before its acquisition, Cairn was an excellent professionally managed company. Post-Vedanta acquisition, the company became unprofessional and has a pathetic working atmosphere. There is no value for hard-working experienced and dedicated staff. More focus on pleasing the boss is percolating from the Chairman level. This company is now Titanic ship due to no value to technical experience employees and hence production is declining rapidly. I believe even ALMIGHTY GOD can't save this company.
