The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role
It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. Companies run on numbers. If you don’t negotiate, you leave money on the table. Have you ever been in a similar spot? How did you navigate it?

They are deducting salary of people from april 2020 to sept 2020. Gross salary till 25k-10% ded 25k-50k-25% ded 50k and above-50% ded. Also firing employees without valid reason for cost cutting and budget restraint is a regular affair in the company . One fine sunny day they will call you and fire you paying a month's extra salary.

Pathetic area manager aliyka. Discriminating non goa employee and treating store manager with no respect. One crooked staff is over powering to get under good graces of area manager. Store manager is treated with no dignity. Pathetic work environment

...hink before joining as it will not only ruin your mental health but your career. I had a great salary, work life and camaraderie but mental torture due to the unethical way of working was getting to me. Raising this issue to the area manager felt like talking to a wall. She was in zero empathy or understanding for what I was going through. 5. If you're joining as a manager, there will be no training/coaching provided and there is no in-store buddy alloted. You will be left at the mercy of the staff. So if you learn from them, you will not be able to boss them. It will create a very complex situation. 6. Approvals depend on the Area Manager. Store manager is basically a sales associate with a blazer on. You will have no authority for attendence regularisation, store expense approvals, other store related approvals. 7. There are no developed SOPs or chain of command in this company. Things are just running for the sake of it and nobody in the company replies to any mails. Over that they brag that a single person has over 300 stores to reply to hence the delay. Company should in this case at least hire 5-10 people to get the job done as store operations are continuously taking a hit due to this. 8. Area manager is least bothered about store hygiene, standard, ambience, maintanence, lack of beverages, lack of petty cash reimbursement. All she wants is sales to randomly happen without any support or prior planning. (Since SM/ASM has no autonomy. Everything has to be done through area manager). 9. It's easy to blame higher management but it's the unfortunate truth that nothing in this company's higher management is organised and people are very lazy, they treat their jobs like a govt job.
