Just had to share this, I got a 100% hike!

I'm keeping this anonymous because I don’t want to disclose it in real life. After two years without a raise, I successfully negotiated a 100% increase at my current company. I focused on creating significant value and worked in cross-functional teams to learn as much as possible. There were times when I was overworked, but it was all worthwhile. I was confident that it was a mutually beneficial situation. My advice would be to choose your job wisely, create value in the right place, and don't be afraid to negotiate.

Support? They laid off everyone as a surprise leaving us to be 'aatmanirbhar' before Modi made it sound cooler and the irony here is that they are anti-government. Lol. I'm still jobless along with 75% of my team that was asked to leave in April. They also lied about salary appraisals last year. Our managing Editor thinks, 'work-life balance' is overrated.. There you have it.

They threw us out of the company without offering a decent severance package and also didn't pay the variable income. The reason for layoffs was 'didn't get the tv license' we were working for Branded content digital wing and they sacked the entire team.

Dislikes

Inspite of working proactively on the ideas, inspite of receiving appreciation emails, inspite of working hard and passionately. I was been forced to resign.

Firstly they had lay offs in the company even after having no fire policy. We were assured that our jobs are safe and would not affect but still they ask us to resign.

Work-life balance - Excellent

Dislikes

The profile which I worked for is something that many organization do not hire for. And there was not extra skills I could develop over this period of time.
