The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role

It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. ...tter. However, he later asked me to leave, claiming that was the only option. I have still not received my full and final settlement, which was basically my April 2021 salary. Girish had told me that I will receive my settlement after I submit all office equipment. When I did that he stopped responding to my messages. The last I heard from him was in July. This culture of not paying employees on time is prevalent in this company. The culture of not listening to the truth of employees is also prevalent.
