The company is relatively generous and offers good benefits. However, as a foreign company from the US, it is ruthless when it comes to cutting down the staff during the recession. The company will not hesitate to take any opportunity to force you to resign due to any mistake, even if the mistake did not cause any serious problem that could not be retrieved. Please think carefully before joining.

Dislikes

The working environment of the GTC department is quite singular. The department in Taiwan branch is very small with only two employees (currently only one remains), it might be only one employee in India for a long period. There are very few opportunities to interact directly with people from other departments. Most of the communication is done through Teams and email. The career path in this area is quite narrow, as there are not many companies that require this type of job, unless you have relevant experience in financial compliance before. It would be easier to find a related job with 3-4 years relevant experience, or else switch to working as a forwarder instead. Those who seek a sense of team identity, teamwork and team cohesion should not apply for this job because your line manager (I am pretty sure that anyone who finally gets the job will face to the same person.) has no plans to cultivate working atmosphere, and everything must done on your own. Please think carefully before applying. Due to “organizational restructuring” by the US headquarters, my job position is relocated to India in the new quarter, so the company has decided to terminate me earlier and force me to leave the company. To be honest, who knows what will happen to this position in India in the future? It might be relocated again in the future.
