The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. Another plus point is that have excellent learning platform.

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is high. Sometimes, I have to work 14 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client call in the evening and sometimes in the morning.

Company is technically strong in principles of Transport Modelling, and UK lead office lets bangalore office take the lead on alot of the work, which is good, because bangalore gets to control the budget and hours estimates. Work culture is good, and you don't feel the boxed hierarchy in some competing companies.

Dislikes

there is no clear cut slab for salary structure for different grades. as a result two people with the same years of experience might be at extremely different salaries, creating lot of disparity in the team. Despite calls to be transparent with the salary slabs, this is never taken seriously. As a result good engineers will move on to other companies even for a marginal hike, just because in a new environment they may feel relatively at a comparable salary with their counterparts. In other competing companies, the lead office decides the salaries and recruitment, here at Arcadis because it is the local office technical director who calls the shots, a Senior candidate who is already at a very high salary in a competing company can be offered even more just to come and get into this team, if we are not finding other Senior candidates

Salary is very low compared to your years of experience and market standards. Unimaginable presure for Project Mangers, no work life balance. Lacks good and competent team resources.
