It was better under the earlier principal who had genuine good interest for the teachers and school

Dislikes

1) 55:1 student ratio, overburdening with too many intricacies of work, manual as well as digital repetition of work 2) no compensation policy for over time and weekend work, miss-punch while leaving results in deduction of whole day salary 3) no transperency, no pay slip is ever provided to employees, if you ask for it, it is directly emailed to the office where you need to submit it 4) teachers have to pay for every celebration even Teachers day, children's day, staff lunch, staff outing (no transperency of money received from Head Office) 5) very poor infrastructure, old dusty unpainted rotting walls and furniture 6) lack of sufficient rooms - AV rooms are converted to classrooms 7) unreliable and unstable. teachers are dragged on contact discontinued from probation after years and years of good record. No reimbursement of going to Delhi for interviews 8) lesson plan to be made for each lecture! If you have 32 lectures in a week = 32 detailed lesson plans for the week 9) no time allocation for weekly ecourse updation, lesson plans and teacher documentation and duties during the working hours of the school...all to be done at home. 10) Very fake and rigid principal, no value/support to teachers, only bothered with her own documentation and gala events for photos that can be bragged about to the HO, frequently disrespects teachers, lies and takes backs her words forgets her own directions putting the blame on teachers. Coordinators are unqualified and two faced Serious fishy things happening in the school regarding money

Apeejay give the salary on time

Dislikes

In Apeeejay there were huge managerial staff, who give the order to junior staff but not provide the solution to the staff how to complete the work. In head office higher authorities like the people who can do the buttering and like that persons who always say boss is always right. they have the people on higher post who always take the credit of the junior's work.

Teachers are treated miserably. Made to work like donkeys. Majority of the teachers are kept on contract where you aren't allowed leaves except one every 40 days. Contract salaries are miserable. They get good (almost double) when a teacher is taken on probation. Contracts can extend for 4 years and even 5. If they feel like they put a teacher on probation after which there is a 50-50 chance of the teacher being put on the payroll with all the benefits OR they may just ask the teacher to leave at the end of 1 year of probation. Either way all contractual teachers and permanent teachers work like mules. Which doesn't sit well with contractual teachers. One is being fed high quality grass. The other is hardly being fed at all. Salaries for permanent employees are amazing but the chances of becoming permanent are dim. Even for really hard workers. Standards for putting a teacher on probation are low as they are shallow. Sucking up to coordinators helps in getting the job done. Raising your voice against any sort of malpractice within the organization kills your chances. Teachers must communicate well. But most of their English teachers have heavy vernacular accents and make errors while speaking and do not know their subject matter. Coordinators are extremely partial to their favorites. There is no home/family life after joining this place. The whole system is designed to drain a person of all energy. No concept of completing school work at school and then they make irrational demands and deadlines are always two days or two hours away before a task is given. Most teachers are working overnight into the early hours of morning. Which shows lack of structure. And proper delegation of jobs. Teachers have to do things like stapling question papers before an exam and all other jobs for which schools have peons. Culture is extremely orthodox and any casual interaction with staff members are frowned upon. Interaction with staff members of the opposite gender is scandalous. Terrible work culture. Terrible. The reason I have given skill development/learning a 5 star is that after you join you really understand how to operate under war level pressure and you learn to multitask in ways you haven't thought possible. Work timings for teachers - 8.30 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. Teachers on MOD duty - 7:55 a.m. To 4.15 p.m.
