No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

i loved working in a team it teaches you a lot of things. you meet many people with their different characters. we had supervisors other will take us to make rounds with a guard they would tell us that they want to show us there work so we can go back and study more so we can be promoted to be Supervisors, Reaction other than be a guard for a long time or work as Control they are so many department you can work in as long as you push yourself to study more.

what i disliked about my job was safety you always must be alert because we used a Guard house to stay in and you should always make your rounds and some of the places you must go alone and sometimes its not safe in that place. we were using touch,bitten stick and a two way radio and panic butin only
