Nothing much to like about Shcil except for job security

SHCIL is not having customer centric approach for their growth. No upgradation in business model. Needs a lot of reforms. Lack of coordination between SHCIL Head office and branches leads to loose business and ultimately you will be the one who will be blamed. Perhaps the only broker in India (Shcil Services Limited) which is still living in the era of monopoly of full service broker. Even after tough competition from other players in the industry they are not improving their services. If you don't believe me go and check rating of their application on Google Play store. Not sure when was the application was updated for the last time. No charts , Rubbish User Interface. Imposing unnecessary penalties on customers by the head office and ask the low level executives to handle clients. Calling it an Organization is a mistake It should call itself a mis-organization. There are other reasons as well but don't want to go back in those horrible time. Clients will abuse you and you will not be able to do anything because even you know that it's mistake of your company only. I left it last year. Ruined my entire 2 years ofcourse I got opportunity to learn something new as well and changed my career field but that's totally because I was interesting in that field otherwise SHCIL was an obstruction in between....Read More

Likes

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are not fair and they not give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow.
