Really, the Institutions sales pitch is the 'Food'. Nothing else. What sort of an organisation, An Academic organisation, markets with food as the main focus point?

Job/Work
As an Assistant Professor/Professor, you'd expect to be involved with teaching and continuous improvement of self and the students. But no, The focus is on maintenance of files with mundane data created/collected and forged to please the management. The management dedicate their entire time/strength and resource to find faults with the faculty, punish the faculty during the minutest of inconveniences and work their hearts out to bend to the needs and whims of the students. The faculty have no respect, scope, development or any authority here.
95% file and data entry work.
2% academics.
3% class rep work.
Work Culture :)
As stated above, the work culture is poor. Poor would be an understatement. You as an academic scholar, are not allowed to avail leaves for any urgency. You are expected to inform and apply leave well in prior, failure to do so, will result in "Loss of pay".
During Anna Univ/UGC/AICTE/internal Meetings & inspections, you are not allowed to take any leaves. Irrespective of the urgency and the seriousness of your requirement, you will not be allowed to take leave on those days.
Right from the moment you step into the campus, you will be treated as a slave and a low life. "go here, go there, don't go this way, don't sit here" are the staple phrases from the managerial people working in this institution. If you manage to ask the reason why, "the chairman doesn't like it/chairman said so" will be the standard answer.
You get 11 days of CL per year and that's it. There is no Medical leaves.
Women get 2 months of maternity leave without pay. There is no medical insurance/assistance, no PF.
Job Security
The usual phrase circulating among people who work here is that the job security is good. But if you dig a little deeper you are bound to notice the dark and deadly truth. The salary was good till 2014 and since then there has been no increment or appraisals. The faculty in higher positions have good pay since they've been working for years....Read More
