RS used to be a great place to work when I did my first stint in the company from 2018-2020. After COVID and lockdown the company changed its work culture completely.

Dislikes

The new mangers and senior technology lead hired are not very friendly. They love to micro manage on every little thing. They say to your face that they are friendly and helpful but they cover their own back first. Even though we are working in hybrid mode officially, we are expected to work from office everyday. If we don't then manager starts calling and demands explanation in a rather loud voice. There was a time when RS hired only experienced people, but now their 90% new joiners are either freshers or interns. Don't get me wrong, the freshers and interns are great and have a lot of knowledge but the speed at which they can complete a module is very different from an experienced candidate. You can negotiate a good salary hike while joining, but don't expect good salary hikes when the new fiscal year starts. If you get a promotion your job title changes, but you get no new benefits. The work hours ridiculous these days. You are expected to put atleast 11-12 hours per day irrespective of wfh or work from office. Condition of RS Software now is very poor. It may get shut down at any point of time

Dislikes

Working environment, broken table, chairs, stinky washroom, no food options in canteens. Management is lacking in culture, Don't know how to behave. And at last no projects in pipeline.
