Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? The work environment is such that everyone feels comfortable. The school authorities give full freedom to teachers to work.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent but financial growth is very slow. Recognition to individual teacher's efforts is lacking. Potential of an individual is not exploited to the fullest.
