Work culture is very well and good, salary and increment is definitely high , just example I joined this company in feb, 2015 at salary 5.85 lacs CTC, now april 2017 my salary reached at 8.46 lacs per annum .no politics is there, at last work - life balance is best as earlier .I worked here freely and friendly .

During Durga Puja festival no long leave is given due to maximum Bengali people works here.this is pretty painful.otherwise nothing is disliked.

I joined HPL by year end 2007, Haldia was just stone's through away from NANDIGRAM( scene of a big political turmoil). The agricultural Land owners were based in Kolkata and the real farmers were in Nandigram. Local strongmen forced people to leave their livelihood, and this tussle was painted in communal colours.Those effects were evident on HPL. And further, There were serious ownership issues. Delay in execution of Project Supermax was final nail in the coffin of our careers. Still an able local company management ensured that the organization was kept afloat. Many good Engineers left due to gross confusion during delayed stake sale by Government of West Bengal. Although a standalone unit, still manages to maximize profits inspite of stiff competition since employees at all level are extremely dedicated, and organization has got best system of functioning.
