Where do I begin?! TLDR - Life is hell here. ("Be comfortable being uncomfortable" - owner) Generally, It's a messed up place. Owner constantly puts down people every townhall by quoting popular individuals (often out of context), saying people should contribute more by taking on more responsibilities INDIVIDUALY, not as a team but say we should work as a team. But it's impossible to keep track of expectations as he'll expect an exact opposite on next week townhall. He'll constantly put you down by splashing your mistakes right at your face under the pretext of coaching you to excellence. Career prospects: You'll be expected to do a lot of things, which they never breathe at first but it'll slowly be asked of you. Once you realise, you'll already be chest deep in the quicksand and you have no idea of your role in anything. Appraisals and salary revisions are considered only after request. No automatic process, nothing. They expect a jack of all trades out of you. You can't expect an area of specialization. You also have to keep a record of your accomplishments and stuff as management is way too busy to keep track of something this insignificant. Portfolio level work would be of your own effort. Office culture: Firstly, you'll be too busy to have even have a good coffee break with people constantly breathing down your neck to get work done. Everyone are expected to engage directly with clients, deadlines would be confirmed without any knowledge of your workload but you would be "expected" to meet deadlines somehow. Rules are ambiguous to begin with so they change according to the owners mindset of the week. Basically the entire agency revolves around a certain person but that person has no idea what goes around within the office. Nothing gets done on time, management wise - government offices would function much faster. Outings with team are generally done over the weekend as work shouldn't be affected over something as insignificant as these, provided they plan one. You can count such events using your fingers. Everyone will be expected to be self accountable. Work life balance: Saturdays and Sundays are off but you shouldn't take that for granted because you'll be expected to be available 24x7. Work is the priority. 12 days a year casual leave and 6 days sick leave. Compensation? There is no PF, no bonus, little to no allowance. A certain person takes great pride in depositing your salary on time, every month. Its an achievement. You'll be given a crappy laptop that struggles to meet your professional needs.
