It's companies first year in India. Still trying to settle down processes and policies. Not so different than usual Indian service based companies. First appraisal was pretty good. But, all other things like management and HR behaves average company.

Dislikes

Not so different than other Indian service based companies.

Work Details

My role is bit challenging as we are the owner for file transmission batches. Hence, we needed to be top and ready for any failure in process all the time. Entertain queries from both partners and clients.

Work days: Rotational Shift (Flexible Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
