I use to like it till they let me do the job without micro management ,the leadership became highly insecure with India taking and doing good work and they play politics at end

Highly political game at leadership level ,the UK folks are highly insecure if India does good ,they will go to any extent and move good guys out so no job security at senior level . They do not like Indians in mgmt level

Not good for long term , people who want to gain tech skills and move out , this company is good. Promotion and salary hikes can be only in dreams , Very difficult to get promotion even if we spend 8 yrs in BT. Due to poor management and organisation structure , promotion ladder has been removed for all employees except top level executives. They move to next level very easily. People with 10+ yrs and 20+ yrs of experience in manager level can not get promoted to next level....Read More

Salary is very less compared to Service based companies Work life balance is only on Papers , in real they keep monitoring all employees attendance. Work from office is mandatory , there is no work from home option. Every movement is office is monitored, managers will be behind for all work and keep micro managing. Management is more likely from Delhi and Gurgaon , promotion ladders are decided from Delhi. South region is considered only for low class labours. Very old and vague process in all areas of BT , it makes every person to struggle and take blame on them during performance reviews . Finally company and management will not accept of using old tools and technologies without any process , they blame on person for not completing the task or not achieving it. They have old technology in some countries and no telecom service in some countries , we need to provide and deliver project in those countries without any support from BT. however we need to take sole ownership without any authority to accomplish project. Spoiled by indian mid and senior level management. Top level people are looting the company with various ways. Top level employees in india are creating their own fav people for that purpose they are simply sidelining good brains. They need talkative people not working people.

The management has lost all the sense. BT was known to be one of the companies which never ask people to leave, but now the management has gone to such a depth that they will make unnecessary and useless HR/ER cases to fire you from your job.

Only 5% chance of sponsored professional certifications. Indian Senior Managers clearly states -"I will not sponsor anything that doesn't directly benefit projects" (As if they are sponsoring from their pockets) Company works 98% on home made legacy applications that are mostly dos-based. No proper Project Mgmt tools used as a result employees even if gets self certified with current apps and tools, gets dull in no time from noon-usage. Pathetic salary growth. Work life balance is at its best. In BT there is no concept of promotion. Everything is skill based. To move to upper level one needs to clear skill test and interview. Same for IJP. Hence, skillset gets at most priority. The L&D is great in this company. They really focus on employee's skill development. Great company to work with.
