Teammates, politics, management, career growth, salary, no appraisal, no learning, tends to dull the mind as well. The principal tends to deliberately make the employees stay beyond time (apparently to impress the management that he's making us work for more hours) under the pretense of a meeting. We just sit there ideally and waste time till 5 pm and have to remind to let us go.

This institution has a terrible work environment. The college is run as if it's a group of elders at home who are teaching their kids. There is no system in place. The professors here are treated and made to feel as if they are students' servants. no matter how bad the student is, no matter how insincere the students there are no repercussion but it is the teachers who are questioned. There are no leaves, whatsoever, no public holidays except a few. Employees are expected to stay late for no reason. There is gender biasness. The faculties are even made to do a peon's work on one or two occasions. The faculties are blamed for any inconvenience that's been caused. Everyone here is eager to shift the blame on faculties and everybody else except themselves especially when it's their own fault. The students can walk all over the professors and no one would raise a voice. The pay is minimal and not at all subject to hike. It is expected that the faculties will have to increase the admissions by hook or by crook without any incentives if the faculties expect a hike. This too is told as an excuse to delay the discussion on the matter. There is no division of work among the staff. The faculties are made to do work of the administration office, library and everything else that's to be done. Everyone can refuse to do their work except the faculties. The faculties are over-burdened with work but still there is no hike in salary. There are and have been faculties working here for 8-10 years and still earning a mere Rs. 32,000. There is always a need for teaching faculties but they don't hire any to save money and put all the burden on the already burdened faculties.
They even have not given the faculties their appointment letters and it has been years. Everyone keeps shifting the discussion from one department to the other. There are no explanation of work policies. There are minimal paid leaves. 10 in a year in total. One can avail a casual leave only after 36 days of working....Read More
