Likes

Excellent infrastructure and strong potential for personal development. AECOM University is an excellent initiative that provides employees with great exposure to technical as well as management trainings and certifications. Also the work environment is good and open culture allows for freedom of work.

Dislikes

Poor job security, lack of variety in types of projects of late, all verticals operate as individual units. Collaboration between them could result in skill development of employees as well as better work force utilization.

Work Details

Interesting yet hectic.

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
