Likes

Very good job security, management handled COVID very well. No salary deduction during pandemic and timely appraisal given to employees.

Dislikes

1. It is not focussed. 2. Launch lot of systems but on shopfloor, actually doing nothing. 3. Only follow up culture. 4. Very slow decision making. 5. Only eye catching presentation, no actual work. 6. HR is useless. They don't work. Tjey are not aware about policy.

Work Details

Before covid worklife balance was like hell. Daily 10/11 hrs of job. During covid, it is normal at 9 hrs.

Work days: Alternate Saturday off (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within City.

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
