University of Dundee

Once you're done with your basic education, you might want to move on to the University of Dundee for some higher learning. The university, which became independent of the University of St. Andrews in 1967, is noted for medicine, life sciences, art, and design studies. The school is recognized internationally for its research in such fields as diabetes and cancer. Its Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design is one of the UK's top four art schools. University of Dundee has an enrollment of about 18,000 students, primarily from the UK; it was founded in 1881 as a co-educational institution.
