TPV Technology is a real screen queen. The company makes LCD computer monitors and televisions. Its acts as a contract electronics manufacturer for customers such as Dell, HP, IBM, and Mitsubishi Electric for monitors, in addition to selling its own brands, AOC and Envision. The company -- which makes more than 100 monitor models -- began manufacturing in China in 1990, and reportedly has a 50% share of the LCD monitor market there. It also bought the licensing rights to manufacture Philips branded flat-screen TVs in 2011. Together China Electronics Corp. and Mitsui own 50% of the company's stock. Founded in 1967 as Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC), TPV originally made color TVs in Taiwan.
