The West India Power Equipment’s (P) Ltd. (WIPE) began its journey on Jan 1, 1986, born out of the dream and vision of two brothers, unaware at that time but dedicated nevertheless, that their vision would evolve over the next 30 years into a world-class, modern manufacturing center for auto components at Jagdishpur, presently providing employment to over 1700 persons.
Viewed in the context of the workforce mainly comprising of persons coming from a less educated agricultural background, trained to work on sophisticated machines over the years entirely through ‘hands-on’ shop floor exposure, is living proof of world-class infrastructure not only created but made successfully functional in one of the most challenging geographical areas in India. The journey continues with the next generation now ready to take over the mantle with a renewed vision of youth, ideas and energy.
