We specialize in the extraction of dye and colour compounds from plants and plant waste. Our extracts are easy to use for commercial dyeing, minimize batch to batch variation, and are water soluble. Our bacteria-based dyes, produced using fermentation technology, will help offer a wider spectrum of colours and shades to our customers. We’re on a mission to ensure natural-dyed clothing is no longer just a traditional niche affair, but becomes mainstream, for a larger impact.

Vision: For fashion brands, embracing natural dyes is no longer optional but essential. Reports indicate that the fashion industry contributes 8-10% of global carbon emissions, with dyeing processes accounting for at least 50% of these emissions. Synthetic and Azo dyes, known to be carcinogenic and endocrine disruptors, also cause skin issues. In contrast, natural dyes are predominantly derived from waste materials, resulting in a significantly lower carbon footprint—approximately 40-50% less. They prevent effluents from entering water bodies, reducing water treatment costs by up to 80%. Furthermore, natural dyes are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, renewable, and biodegradable, benefiting both the environment and rural farmers. Notably, the production of 1kg of natural indigo supports employment for 2 rural farmers and promotes a healthier ecosystem.
