ShieldSquare provides automated content protection of website from web scrapping and bot attacks. The solution integrates with the existing platform via either a cloud-based connector on backend tech stack or a web-based REST API and a javascript file to be included in every page in the front end. Employs IP and browser fingerprinting to monitor and build a unique profile of each visitor and utilizes these profiles to construct a dynamic Turing test to assess the capabilities and intent of the visitor for identifying bots. Once a profile is flagged as a bot, it prevents website scrapping by blocking, feeding fake data and even challenging using captcha. Other products include price scraping, form spam, and brute force prevention. Part of MS Ventures Winter Program, 2013 and listed one among 5 winners from India at Tel Aviv StartUp Challenge. Received angel investments from RedBus Co-FOunder Phanindra Sama and Freshdesk Co-Founder Girish Mathrubootham in 2014. Raised $350K angel round from individual investors including Phanindra Sama, Charan Padmaraju and P Sudhakar of Redbus, Murugavel Janakiraman of Matrimony.com, Girish Mathrubootham of Freshdesk, Pallav Nadhani of Fusioncharts and Samir Sood. Raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Venture Highway, Vishy Poosala (Engineering Director at Facebook), and existing investors in October 2016.
