In the year 1987, Saraswati group of companies had its humble beginning at Kharar, Punjab with formulation of Agrochemicals in the name of PUNJAB PESTICIDES INDUSTRIAL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY. Formulation of various products like EC’s, WP’s , PGR’s and GR’s was done by association with various multinationals companies like BAYER, AVENTIS. Second toll manufacturing unit was started in the year 1999 in the name of SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 1 situated at Dao Majra, Kharar (Punjab). Various types of granules are formulated at this site. In the year 2005, Saraswati Group extended its business by establishing Agro Chemical Formulation units at Bari Brahmna and Birpur, Jammu as SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 2 & SARASWATI AGRO CHEMICALS INDIA PVT LTD- UNIT 3. This unit has benefits of Exemption on Excise duty (a tax on manufactured goods), Conditional concession on Income Tax, Subsidy on Transport, Loans, etc. Jammu is the only estate where such benefits are eligible. New formulation technologies like SC’s(suspension concentration), Wettable Granules (WDG – Extruder&Schugin mixer andAgromalation), Wettable Powders (WP) were started by association with various multinationals companies like Bayer, BASF, Du Pont, Dow, Tata, Rallies etc.
