RAS is India’s first farm-to-face natural luxury skincare brand and India’s fastest growing luxury beauty brand. Local herbs and botanicals have been used in Indian beauty formulations for centuries now — said ingredients are exported around the globe to this date, and imported back into the country at higher price points in the form of beauty concoctions. RAS aims to bridge that gap with locally produced blends that perform. The brand understands the importance of simplifying beauty routines today by creating products with multiple uses, addressing different concerns and routine steps at one go. This can be seen in their Butter Balm, Ultra Hydrate Gel, Tinted Lip Balms and Gel Serums. RAS was also one of the first few brands in India to enter the face tools category. What started off as a D2C brand retailing face and body oils has grown to a portfolio today with over 140 SKUs, targeting every need and product type across hair, skin and bodycare. Plus, RAS is one of the few Indian brands that supplies to luxury hotel chains in the country like the Trident (Oberoi) group of hotels, Four Seasons, St. Regis and also caters to Vistara’s premium fliers with in-flight beauty kits for their long haul flights.
A women-led brand, RAS comes with a decades-long history of working with natural ingredients, to harness their complete benefits without using any additives. At RAS, we are experts in extracting botanical oils in their purest form. Our DSIR-approved R&D lab and extraction plant was established in 2000 with almost 20 years of experience in biological and botanical research and development. We bring you the purest, 100% naturally-grown botanicals sourced from our 250-acre family-owned farms and 3000+ local cultivators & farmers across the country. The plant botanicals are grown on our own farms, oils are extracted in our labs, and products are formulated, manufactured and packaged in-house. We have an FDA approved manufacturing facilities which follows the strictest EU standards of manufacturing and ingredient usage. Our expansive farms grow plants like aloe vera, hibiscus, rose, geranium, turmeric, sandalwood and calendula which feature extensively across the entire product line.
RAS believes in promoting an eco-friendly enterprise, making sure all produce is grown without the use of growth-promoting chemicals. We partner with farmers directly and by eliminating the middle men, give them the opportunity to build a self- sustained lifestyle, earn better income and enhance the quality of their lives. We recently trademarked the phrase ‘Farm To Face’ and launched Farm Fresh, a new beauty category on their website which houses seasonal, limited edition products created from raw material that is of immense worth but usually goes to waste when treated to create their permanent products.
Additionally, while RAS started off as a family run business, we have now raised $2 million in external funding from Sixth Sense Ventures in 2022 and $2 million earlier this year from current investors and Green Frontier Capital, a New York-based climate change and sustainability-focused venture capital firm. Moving forward, RAS plans to expand their physical footprint, launching standalone stores with the first one opened in Raipur, our home city, along with setting sights on global expansion, starting with the USA and UAE this year.
