At Pesto we consider ourselves a family dedicated to the goal of helping each other become the best versions of ourselves. We have a culture of always doing high-quality work, extreme mentorship and challenging each other and ourselves. It all starts with an intensive screening process where we test for a minimum required understanding of computer science fundamentals, English language proficiency and an intense eagerness to learn. After clearing our screening process, all new applicants will go through our custom boot camp where they will learn modern software engineering best practices. Our Bootcamp is intense and is designed to push applicants to not just learn a set of javascript frameworks but to learn how to learn, giving each applicant the tools they will need to always stay at the bleeding edge of technology. If you are able to graduate from our bootcamp, you will officially become a member of the Pesto family. You will be assigned a Pesto engineering mentor who will help you to continue to refine your skills by making real contributions to our in-house technology and open source projects. Once your engineering mentor signs off on your technical competence, you will be eligible to be assigned to partner teams as projects become available. This will enable you to use your new engineering skills working on real-life projects within teams at top US tech companies when you get placed there as full time remote employees.
