Although not gifted as a storyteller, Oerlikon Barmag (formerly Barmag) does sell yarn-spinning machinery. The company makes spinning and textile machines used to produce manmade fibers. Its machines process raw material to make sportswear, carpet, safety belts, and other products. The company has subsidiaries located in most regions of the world and has boosted sales through acquisitions, including Neumag, a maker of textile machines and staple fibers. Barmag's largest customer base resides in the Asian market, primarily China, as well as India and Taiwan. Barmag is part of the Oerlikon Textile, which was the textile division of Switzerland-based Saurer until it branched off in 2007.
