It is in view of this and on the basis of the ever increasing demand for qualified professionals in the industry that MCC was established by Thachankary Foundation, a Trust governed by the Indian Trust act 1882. The college is the first self-financing Catering College in the state approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, and Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.
