Maeda is a leading building and civil engineering firm in Japan. Established in 1919, the company specializes in heavy construction projects including dams and power stations, harbor works, airports, water supply systems, railways, highways, bridges, and tunnels. It is also engaged in commercial construction, primarily office buildings, retail stores, schools, hospitals, factories, and warehouses. In addition to its home country, Maeda has completed projects throughout the Pacific Rim, Southeast Asia, and China; its MKK Technologies subsidiary is active primarily in the Midwestern US.
